Cool Cruel World Presents Leading Ladies: The Femcee Edition
You want lady rhyme slingers? Then come out to South Paw Tuesday to kick off fashion week by screening Leading Ladies Trois: Femcees, a documentary showcasing female talent in hip-hop created by @CocoaBella of Cool Cruel World.
About Leading Ladies (from the press release):
The “Leading Ladies” series is an idea conceived last summer to celebrate independent women with an entrepreneurial spirit in the entertainment industry. Women who never had to compromise their morals to do the things that they wanted to do. Women who work in a male-dominated industry and fight hard to maintain themselves. We have done 2 installations of this project this year, and this is our 3rd.
Installation 1 was “STREET-WEAR BRANDS”. We shot the CEO’s of the following companies: Most Official Bitches (Leah McSweeney), Hellz Bellz (Lanie Albanza), Dime Piece (Ashley & Laura), Violette (Vashtie Kola) and MadeMe NYC (Erin McGee). I interviewed them, edited it into a documentary and presented it for media, influencers and fashion-elite at the Sole Food NYC Gallery.
Installation 2 was “RADIO PERSONALITIES and DEE-JAYS”. I interviewed Dee Vazquez (hot 97), Angela Yee (Sirius Radio), Jasmine Solano (Frank 151 radio), and NIRE (MOST OFFICIAL BITCHES). The event was a success, sponsored by KISS COSMETICS, and took place at SAPPHIRE LOUNGE, NYC. Our 3rd installment is: FEMCEES (female emcees)……
