Femcee Files: Eternia Chats New Album, Making It In Hip-Hop
I caught up with Eternia some time in August for a long over due interview where she dropped some gems about her latest album At Last (Fat Beats Records), working with MoSS, creating her own career path as a rapper and her thoughts on what some think is an absence of women in hip-hop.

We shot this in a random playground. It was interesting because kids were playing, minding their own business during the interview but as soon as Eternia started rapping everyone gravitated toward her, particularly the little girls. I was fascinated but also inspired by how much more attentive and awed the girls seemed by Eternia than anyone else who was present. It reminded me that even when you think people aren’t paying attention, they really are, especially those who could potentially have the most power to affect positive change. One of those girls might have been inspired by Eternia to start writing their own rhymes. You never know.
Props to DJ Sav*One for making the interview happen!
