Brazened Honey Fresh Face Mask By Lush Gets Product Love
Sexy, right? Hubby hates the face masks but what’s a girl who wasn’t blessed with good skin to do? Anyway, this Brazened Honey Fresh Face Mask by Lush is doing my skin some justice thus far. Lush’s website describes this stuff as the following:
Brazened Honey was inspired by traditional Indian ayurvedic principles, which put emphasis on balance as the foundation to health. Helen combined fresh free-range eggs and honey to soften, with astringent lime oil, antiseptic rosemary and exfoliating ground almonds. Kaolin reaches deep down into pores to pull out dirt and impurities, leaving your skin noticeably brighter and fresher. Our deepest cleansing mask, Brazened Honey is the perfect way to revive sluggish or congested skin.
I’ve been plagued with the acne problem since I was a teenager and have tried everything, EVERYTHING to ease my pain. Yet, even today I am never without a break out. I see some improvement when my diet is clean, especially if I eat green leafy veggies every day but it doesn’t 100% alleviate my troubles. Lately, my break outs are a lot more frequent and more of the painful under skin pimples than I ever used to get. I’m not sure if they’re cysts but either way, me no likey. Plus, I’m a picker. Sigh.
Anyway, I have combination skin that gets really dry in the winter so the Lush sales associate suggested this stuff. I bought two different types of masks just to see if they’re all the same, which I tend to think when products are over hyped. The first one was Lush’s Catastrophe Cosmetic and I didn’t like it at all. So, my hopes were really low when I got to the Brazened Honey but so far so good. I’ve been using it daily for about a week and it really does exfoliate and cleanse. My skin feels fresh, softer and looks brighter after use. I also think it has been helping to ease my breakouts. The jury is still out on that one, because I need at least a full month to make sure that my mind isn’t playing tricks on me but I really do believe there’s some improvement there.
You can use it once a week or daily if you like, it’s that gentle. The mask will run you about $7.00 and keep in mind that you have to keep it refrigerated because it does expire. However, if you return five empty tubs (not just the mask but any of the product tubs) to Lush then you get a fresh face mask for free.
