Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer Gets Product Love
I linked up with my girl Patrice of Afrobella for lunch recently and she hooked me up with two tubes of the recently released Nars Creamy Radiant Concealer.
I’m late to the concealer party but have been playing around with different brands for the past couple of months. I haven’t liked a lot of the concealer products that I’ve been trying out (too thin, too thick and don’t last are the main issues) with the exception of Bare Minerals but this good stuff from Nars is on point. I couldn’t figure out which color I was so I took Dark 1 Cafe, which is the top swatch on my wrist and Dark 2 Cacao, which is the bottom swatch on my wrist.
I’m actually wearing the concealer with nothing else in all of the shots you see. These pics were taken in my bathroom, which has the harshest most unforgiving light in my house. And trust me, I have quite a few acne marks that need covering. According to Nars, these new concealers have light diffusing technology which helps blur imperfections and fine lines, and evens out skin tone. Um…they did NOT tell any lies. The stuff is rich without being heavy and pore clogging and minimizes the need for foundation. I only have on the concealer in the pics you see above and wouldn’t have used any foundation at all had I gone outside, because this stuff is that good.
I chose two colors because although I’m warm, my complexion still varies in certain areas on my face. In the end, both concealers worked but my favorite was Dark 2 Cacao. I think that one blended the best. The concealers are crease-proof, long-wear, non-comedogenic, paraben-free and fragrance-free.
The major downside is the price. These bad girls will run you about $28 for a 0.22 oz tube but a little definitely runs the NYC marathon. It’s a worthy splurge for good product.

Thanks for posting this! I recently used concealer for the first time in my life about a month ago, and I was disappointed with it. You and I appear to be the same complexion, so I’m thinking the shade you used by Nars will work for me as well. I too, have acne scars that I’d like to hide (I’m currently working on finding a natural oral acne supplement and using a fade cream to fix this). Nars is expensive, but as I’ve learned, sometimes you have to pay for what really works! Plus, I wouldn’t use it everyday, so I could make that $28 bucks stretch ^_^
Girl, right! I was getting discouraged with all the concealers I had been trying but this is a good look.
I am a huge fan of Bare Minerals. I use a concealer up under it to give me a flawless finish. *thinking* that sounded like a commercial script lolll
LOL I concur, though. I picked up Bare Minerals on a whim one day and was pleasantly surprised.
