Missy Elliott Tweets Her Desire For a Female Rap Supergroup

Earlier this week I posted a previously unpublished snippet from the archives of an interview that I did with Missy Elliott for JET magazine. In that interview, she expressed that she was hopeful that more women would become dominant forces in mainstream hip-hop. Her answer there, seemed to be a bit safe, which is the comment that I made on the post.

I tweeted the link to said post and @’d Missy on Twitter. I think she read it (since she follows me on Twitter because we’re besties now), because she briefly engaged me in what she felt would be a viable solution–unity. Check out the tweets:

I soooo want to see this happen. In my mind, it doesn’t even have to be mainstream women just women who are nice on the mic. A mix of indie and mainstream ladies would be nice. I can’t rap (though I had a quick phase where I tried, it was bad) but I’d gladly make a cameo in the video. =0)
