Starrene Rhett Rocque is a new Chicago transplant, originally from New York City. She’s a freelance journalist who specializes in print, broadcast and social media. “GangStarr Girl” focuses on women in hip-hop, pop-culture, beauty, lifestyles, and randomness, telling the stories of people who are hiding in plain site. Starrene is currently the consulting digital manager for JETmag.com, where she interviews celebrities, covers news, TV and film.
