I discovered today, during my daily social media crawl, that Baby Jayonce was born. I’m not sure what her name is (nor do I care) but people were arguing on whether it was Blue Ivy or Ivy Blue. Sigh. Why are we so vapid? People care more about celebrities and drama than anything else in the world. Double sigh. In other news, I think this guy understands how I feel . He wrote this dope poem entitled, “Your Junk Will Be Televised” in homage to Gil Scott-Heron’s “The Revolution Will Not be Televised.” This is great. Watch:

A new track by Brooklyn rapper Foxy Brown hit the internet a couple of days ago. I’m late but I’m just like, is this woman serious? Ugh, she’s nuts (I have a personal story to corroborate that claim…but that’s another blog)!

The song, entitled Let Em Know features Lil Fame from MOP and rapper BAM. It was produced by Easy Mo Bee and Brown drops lines about Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Eve, Trina and Lil Kim (again). I wasn’t going to post this initially but I figured, maybe other femcees or aspiring femcees can take this as a lesson for what not to do. You need more people Foxy. You need more people…

At this point, who cares? Seriously. She’s been throwing shots at folks ever since she began releasing these random tracks since being released from jail and no one has responded yet. MESSAGE! Smh

Roc4life.com and GangStarrGirl.com teamed up back in May in search of a dope female mc for the “Roc Your 16 Bars” contest. It was tough competition as the ladies really stepped it up but in the end, Harlem native AtLas’ was the winner. Get to know her as she talks about her affiliation with MC Lyte and her love for hip-hop.
