How to Get the Minx Nails Look Recession Style

Minx nails have been all the rage in the celebrity community but they start at about $55 a pop. I don’t know about y’all, but I can’t afford that. I found a nice alternative. Enter China Glaze. They released a dazzling collection of metallic varnish a couple of months ago called “Khrome,” and I am a stan.

Not only do their bright colors carry into the spring fashion trend of metallic nails, but they’re so rich and long lasting that they give a Minx effect. I tried it out. Check out the results…

This is a real minx nail.

This is Millennium from the Khrome Collection:

Please excuse the fact that I didn’t get rid of the excess polish lol. I knew it would come off on its own, eventually. *Shrugs. But anyway, tell me that doesn’t look like tin foil? Beautiful!

It gets better. I also bought 2030 from the collection, which is along the lines of C3PO gold (don’t act like y’all haven’t seen Star Wars).

This is me on Halloween, note the nails:

Close up!

Dead ringers for minx! By the way, 2030 is my favorite in the collection because I love gold. The best thing about the polishes in this particular collection is that they last long, like I said, and one coat does the trick.
