Fun at the Barbados Food Wine and Rum Festival!
Beach time! No brainer!
Marcus Samuelsson at The Cliff
The Cliff is one of the most expensive restaurants on the island but also considered by a lot of travel aficionados (read Trip Advisor users) to be one of the most romantic restaurants in the world, and I agree. We got a breathtaking view of the Caribbean Sea as we dined and mingled with people from around the world while a floating steal pan band played classic soul from Earth Wind and Fire to Chaka Khan (my camera and the lighting just didn’t mix). Every year, a headlining chef cooks a decadent multi-course meal for a motley crew of epicureans. There was a cocktail hour before dinner where guests got to mix and mingle and I bonded with Josh Wesson over our love for food in Japan, as well as Di Fara, a pizzeria in Brooklyn that serves the best pizza in NYC.
We sadly packed our things to leave the next day but not before one more romp on the beach and declaring that we will be back in 2013.
Check back tomorrow for more about my Bajan adventure.
