Jojo Abot is a singer/songwriter from Accra, whose music I’d like to describe as Fela Kuti meets Jill Scott, meets Bob Marley, meets Dawn Penn, meets Shaun Escoffery, meets Aly-Us. I know, that’s quite the gumbo of sounds but it works. Her music is soulful and hypnotic and I am here for her! She is preparing to release an EP entitled, Fyfya Woto in May.
